Probably misnamed now as the Fire Walls are long gone, but this was the deck I took to UK Nationals. Essentially you’re looking to score out agendas while having the Scorch threat hanging over the runner in true Weyland fashion.
I went for two 5/3 agendas and cut a Hostile to get down to 10 agendas total. I’m not sure how successful that was. Sometimes I was annoyed I couldn’t got get the final Hostile to win while being on six points, other times I was happy with the reduced number of agendas that seemed to spill from runner R&D accesses (whether actual or imagined, I can’t say as you’re not allowed to take notes during tournament games).
Other cards of note:
Snatch and Grab – did great work killing Kati and threatending Pro Co, but experienced runners stayed on high credits to avoid SEA Source / Scorch so it was less use the higher up the tables you got unless you saw it early.
Cyberdex – I’ve had to put up with a lot of Anarch recently, especially ICE destruction but Nationals was all about Kate and often it was a dead card, although useful for bluffing Crisium or as a mystery upgrade on a remote.
Aggressive Secretary / Snare! – I went with one of each, but think moar advancable traps or more Snares is the answer – mixing and matching is trying to cover too many bases and not doing either well enough.
Elizabeth Mills – she did good work if seen early, other times I was giving away too many BP. I either need two of her or none.
Checkpoint – was an interesting piece of ICE and definitely stopped some runners dead for a time, but the Bad Pub is too much along with everything else in the deck so it needs a rethink.
Sentries – I really enjoyed the mix and think they all had their moments. Will definitely be experimenting with a mixed bag approach in future.
