Nationals Andromeda Sucker

I’ve been playing about with Andromeda now everyone else has drifted off to Anarch or Kate. Ever the underdog, I love making life difficult for myself.

Andromenda is still a strong identity. The extra four cards are basically a free turn, along with more options for the first turn of the game, and a super-mulligan should you need it. She struggles from usual problems of glacier ICE build up and other tax, so you need to set up early and get aggressive. I’ve found Account Siphon recursion to still be super-effective, but if you don’t see one early you can really struggle to keep up. I might stick a Planned Assault in after my experience at Nationals.

Some card decisions:

Deja Vu – great for recurring Siphon or other Events as well as programs, a superior include to the less broad Clone Chip in my opinion.

Hacktivist Meeting – I was expecting lots of RP and knew NEH was still strong. This is a meta call. You’re giving up your R&D Interface or Maker’s Eye in order to crush their asset economy and make Jackson more painful to use. Its a solid include for me in the current meta, but with the rise of glacier HB styles it might not be great giving up that multi access (although it does slow down Adonis, Eve, Ash etc.).

Infiltration – as a nod to the problems I might face getting in big servers I thought I’d add some tech to make the decisions on whether to run easier and maybe emergency economy if it was an otherwise dead card. In the end it was no use – I could determine for myself whether to run usually and would have been more keen to see another Inside Job or something else useful.

Feedback Filter – used because of all the PE and IG I’d been hit with at Sheffield Regional. Didn’t see any at Nationals though and this was a dead card. Not convinced – it’ll be cut I think.

Symmetrical Visage – did good work, helping with draw and topping up economy. You can’t give a baby booze.

Utopia Shard
– killed a double SEA Source and Scorch out of hand one game, other removed an agenda or clutter from HQ. Key play is to use and then Legwork to see everything that’s being hoarded by the Corp in a single turn and leave their hand in tatters.

Breach – saving influence on a second Corroder by including this – it works great against Curtain Wall (6 creds), fine against Eli 1.0 (4 creds, same as Corroder), but can be expensive against some others depending on strength / subroutines.
